And now...read on for the most recent rave reviews for the new CD:

Blurt posted a review
of Queen of the Minor Key.  ""I Remember You" sounds like something from one of Dylan's most recent albums, with its bluesy undertone and insistent rhythm, and lyrics such as "We were Bonnie and Clyde / We thought we'd go down in history / I guess we changed our minds."'

American Songwriter Magazine
reviewed Queen in its July-August issue:  "She's not only the Queen of the Minor Key, she's the Royal Highness of Atmosphere...There are no throwaway tracks or even wasted notes...Eilen Jewell is an undiscovered gem who has released a layered, shimmering pearl of an album that shines like cut crystal."

Pop Matters gives Queen 8 out of 10 stars
and says, "The album is definitely cool, whether Jewell’s channeling Patsy Cline on the torch song “Only One” or getting all hopped up as on the rhythm and blues honker “Bang Bang Bang”."

The Boston Globe also posted a review
of Queen and highlighted Eilen's local release party at the Armory in Somerville, MA on July 23rd: "The album’s long setpiece, 'Santa Fe,' is emotionally raw and riveting. 'You picked up a broken bottle in case anyone gave us any trouble,’' she starts, 'and we walked all the way back to Cortez.’ (Out today)"
